Not just meet. I get to have lunch and snacks and chats with her and my friend Liz, who’s a grad student at MICA.

I think that if I can manage to not immediately pee myself the minute she walks in the room, I’ll consider the meeting a success. o_O

I finally have a portfolio site up and online! Hooray! =D So you should go check it out! Even just ‘cause you’ll know that, although I don’t actually know you’re doing it, it’ll still make me happy. ^_^

Valeska Soares Vaga Lume 2010
Let there be light! Eleven Rivington Gallery and artist Valeska Soares are showing their latest large scale installation called Vaga Lume, where you are actually in control of the exhibit. How rad is that? As you navigate your way through a room with over a thousand light bulbs on the ceiling, custom create your own illuminations by pulling the beaded chains that are attached to the bulbs.

Paul Curtis takes negative space to a grand scale by reverse scrubbing walls and roadsides, selectively restoring the original material behind the filth into beautiful landscapes. The article by Neil Coppen goes on to describe additional reverse graffiti projects throughout the world. Thanks Wooster Collective!
